This, and Every Other Longing

The full title in my head is "Hold back the hand to this and every other longing," but dA decided not to let me.

The hand this is referring to is Dumbledore's left hand, which isn't actually playing with his hair; rather its fingers are fingers are crooked in indecision...not that it matters, either interpretation makes him look like a flirt.

Anyways.

Forwards! I'm properly proud of this piece! (Very proud; just look at those vectors!) And through due diligence, I was actually able to make the idiotic lighting work!

So here they are! Young!Grindelwald and Dumbledore studying by light of...Navi. Ok, that was a bit of a copout, really, but I kind of really fail at drawing candles, or candelabrum, or any sort of conventional lighting system, archaic or no. The little stringy things coming out of the wands are actually supposed to be tying the Navi twins down, but it looks like they're spouting out, so meh, whatever.

Random notes:
- I hate curly hair. Didn't used to care, one way or another, but GRINDELWALD YOUR HAIR IS A BITCH
- The wands/Navi twins/inkpot are the best part of the picture. I totally <3 that spot.
- Stole the wands off of google. Traced them and stuck them in. Same with the feather. Does that make me a bad person...? i dun care!
- Dumbledore's shirt is supposed to be white, but turned out pinkish in the lighting...oh well, it's appropriately gay.
- Have I mentioned the Navis? LOOK AT THEM! THEY'RE ADORABLE!!
- I must have drawn and redrawn Grindelwald's mouth 12 times, but he still looks vaguely vicious. Sigh...he's supposed to be grinning maniacally, not menacing...

Time: 25 hours (at least; this is a very rough estimate @_@ goddamn lineart alone took 8...)
